A Million Dollar Life Match grant supported the Breakfast with Baby program in Carol Stream, Ill.
Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carol Stream, Ill., received a grant for its Breakfast with Baby outreach program during the first phase of the Synod’s Million Dollar Life Match. Every month, the congregation invites families from the community in to receive food, diapers, children’s items and — most importantly — the love of Christ.
“We want the whole community to know that Christ has invited them into our home and His home. They are a part of our family and we’re here to take care of them as best we can … not only in Word and Sacrament, but also in physical needs,” said the Rev. Tom Sanders, vacancy pastor at Our Savior, in 2022.
