Pregnancy Resource Centers and Maternity Homes

Million Dollar Life Match grants have supported pro-life ministries in Texas and Missouri.

During the first round of Million Dollar Life Match grants, two congregations received grants to support mothers and their little ones. The Sealy Pregnancy Resource Center at LifeBridge Community Church in Sealy, Texas, received one of the grants, which was used in the construction of a bigger space for the outreach. The center offers a “store” stocked with donated items for babies and parents, as well as pastoral counseling and hundreds of classes for mothers on a wide variety of topics.

Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton, Mo., also received a grant for Zoe’s Home, a maternity home where pregnant women are given free, safe housing; counseling, classes and support; and guidance in setting and working toward short- and long-term goals.

“We want to show people that we are not just saying all life is important and then leaving it at that. We believe life starts at conception, and we love and care for that baby and mother deeply. We also realize parenting is hard and expensive. We want to … show them we love them and care about them,” said Emily Stocking, executive director of Zoe’s Home.
