Video: Early LCMS Mission Efforts
This video was presented at the 68th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, held July 29–Aug. 3, 2023, in Milwaukee.
In 1894, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) sent its first missionaries to India, and mission work in Brazil followed a few years later. For 129 years, LCMS missionaries have proclaimed the Gospel, planted Lutheran churches and shared Christ’s mercy.
